Tears

These tears are yours
but mine is the sorrow;
Torn flesh and world wars
have done less to men's hearts
than loneliness.
It is the grave
which remains open,
the broken fence,the flooded river,
the whipping wind to blinded eyes.
It is black nights, dried blood
and pain
steady as a watched clock
every merciless moment.
