I think I can die now,
secure in my nature
but let the wind come by
and ask at my door.
I believe in the changes
of autumn and winter
but summer is faithless
and spring is the womb.
When changes occur
in the sky and I've missed them,
I'll ask my friend, wind,
to explain them to me.
There will come a time
when autumn is endless
and then I will ask
Someone greater than this.
And when I am cold,
I will not find a wrapping.
I will open my heart
and be glad of my life,
welcoming feeling -
rejoicing, embracing,
that one thing Man
never took hold of.
