Literature Text
Each evening
in mid-summer,
I watch
the lightning
strike,
not afraid
stand in wonder.
Gentle, cooling
breeze ensues
which can be felt
all over
the world -
flash and power
and an inner
stirring.
Grounded in
our spirits.
When I was
young,
I wrote
of nature.
When I grew
older,
I wrote
of love.
Tingling moments
of satisfaction
in the world.
Lightning strikes
to ground -
not afraid
but still wondering.
